a bad mood. Depression is far more serious than that. If unnoticed or
untreated, depression could lead to drug/alcohol abuse, problems in the
home and school, as well at suicide. Teachers are taught to look for typical
behavior of adolescents that might be suffering from depression; however
parents and friends should also become aware of symptoms as well.
Adolescents encounter challenges each day as they
try hard to succeed in school, church, as well as
any other outside activity that may be involved in.
Success in these activities gives them a strong
sense of self and belonging.

In such chronic depression case, the individual has to be tackled carefully.
Chronic depression can be tackled using some antidepressants. However, modern medicines may bring some unwanted side effects and that is why, natural treatment or therapy for chronic depression is preferred wherein the treatment is likely to get continued for several months or even years.

excesses, it may start working against the human body. Extremes of self-centeredness
and apprehension soon take over the human brain and decrease the performance,
maybe it gets aggravated by some particular group of emotions (like anger,
pity, guilt or gloominess mixed with a some unknown fear) that can then
establish a clear 'anxiety' as a disorder.
The diagnosis of depression is one made by a medical or mental health doctor. When determining if a person is suffering from depression, there are lists of key symptoms that are taken into account. Doctors take note of the person possibly suffering from depression if at least five symptoms persist for a period of one week for severe cases and two weeks in milder cases. These symptoms usually will interfere with the normal lives of the person. Evaluation usually consists of a physical examination as well as gathering information from the person’s family history as depression is hereditary.
